Kubica gets Williams run at Abu Dhabi tyre test

Robert Kubica will receive another outing with Williams at next week's post-race tyre test at the Yas Marina Circuit, along with Sergey Sirotkin, as the operation continues to evaluate its 2018 options. Kubica sustained severe arm injuries in a rally crash in 2011 though has been exploring the prospect of returning to the sport in 2018, and carried out tests earlier this year with Renault, most prominently during post-race group running in Hungary. Renault ultimately plucked for Carlos Sainz Jr. to partner Nico Hulkenberg, and Kubica turned to Williams, which fielded the Pole in two separate private test days at Silverstone and the Hungaroring last month, using the 2014 FW36.
