Norris leaning towards Formula 2 programme for 2018
McLaren youngster Lando Norris is leaning towards a move up to the FIA Formula 2 championship for the 2018 season as he continues to forge a path towards Formula 1. Norris, 18, won the FIA European Formula 3 title during his rookie season with two races to spare as part of an impressive year that has seen him work closely with the McLaren team as part of its junior programme, enjoying a maiden F1 test in Hungary earlier this year. McLaren confirmed it would look to place Norris in either F2 or the Japanese Super Formula series for 2018, having used both championships in the past to develop young drivers such as Stoffel Vandoorne.
