Lewis Hamilton enjoyed the upper-hand over chief Formula 1 rival Sebastian Vettel during second practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Friday night at Yas Marina, finishing one-tenth of a second clear at the head of the field for Mercedes. After seeing Vettel lead Ferrari to P1 in the opening session earlier in the day, Hamilton struck back in FP2 by beating Vettel through the qualifying simulations under the lights, with conditions proving to be more representative than the opening daytime session.
