Ricciardo eyes breakthrough AGP podium

Daniel Ricciardo Daniel Ricciardo believes this year’s Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix could be the first ever in which a local finishes on the podium. The Red Bull Racing driver heads into his home race with far brighter prospects after the Milton Keynes squad completed a positive pre-season. Last year Ricciardo endured a nightmare Australian Grand Prix which was headlined by a crash in qualifying before an electrical failure saw him miss the start. An engine failure then curtailed his day. The West Australian’s best finish at the event was a fourth in 2016 after his second place finish in 2014 was scrubbed due to a fuel flow breach.
