Verstappen warns for “two or three” races to predict F1 order

Max Verstappen believes Red Bull won’t know its true place in the Formula 1 pecking order until “at least two or three” races into the 2018 campaign despite being pleased with his Friday practice pace in Australia. The Red Bull driver ended FP2 second on the timesheet narrowly behind defending F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, with just 0.127s splitting the pair, having also taken second place in the opening practice session. Having been content with both his qualifying and long run pace, Verstappen is upbeat for Red Bull’s chances at the 2018 opener in Melbourne but warns it may take up to three races into the season before knowing if his team are genuine F1 world title fighters....
