Australian Grand Prix – Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton claims he is buoyed by the apparent closeness of the competition in the opening practice sessions. Whilst Hamilton enjoyed a half-second advantage in the opening practice session, the gap was reduced in second practice, with the top four separated by three tenths of a second.
