F1 pledge to remove DRS device in 2021

The FIA is hoping to remove the ‘DRS’ from F1 cars in 2021. This move could become part of the shake-up expected to hit the sport in just three years time. The Drag Reduction System (DRS) was introduced in 2011 and helps to enhance overtaking. Nikolas Tombazis, the governing body’s technical chief, has been discussing the matter.  “It is right that there’s the underlying discomfort with DRS, and I share it as well,” said Tombazis.  “I know Ross has made similar comments, and so on.
