Ricciardo puts in storming track record to take Monaco pole
The dominant Daniel Ricciardo made a stunning lap-time in qualifying to take Monaco Grand Prix pole position. The Australian set his qualifying lap on the first session in Q3 was a 1:10.810. Made an overall new lap record for the Monaco street circuit, he was the only man entering the 1:10s. Sebastian Vettel made his best lap-time in final attempt of the Q3 – 1:11.039. Championship leader Lewis Hamilton took P3 for Mercedes. Max Vertsappen's smash in practice meant he had to sit out and the Dutchman will be on the back row… more to follow
