Di Resta crashes at Le Mans, apologises

Paul di Resta's Le Mans debut ended with a calamity on Sunday afternoon as he crashed into a concrete barrier in the 20th hour of the race, and the former Formula One star was quick to apologise for the incident as it now means United Autosports LMP2 are out. Di Resta had just moved up to fourth place in class when he hit the wall, with his team-mates Filipe Albuquerque and Phil Hanson also unable to finish due to the state of the United Ligier JS P217. He was taken to hospital following the incident, but thankfully emerged unscathed, seemingly more worried about letting down the team than any cuts or bruises.
