Renault 'resisting big name signings' like Vettel and Newey

The Renault Sport F1 team says it's not planning to buy its way to success by signing up big name talents. Company CEO Carlos Ghosn insisted that the factory squad can achieve its objectives in the sport without spending "hundreds of millions of euros". "We are preparing for our return to the top of the podium by 2020," he is quoted as saying by La Presse. "The goal is to win under responsible economic conditions." The team has been linked with big money approaches for Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull designer Adrian Newey.
