Renault drivers "better off" without Red Bull as customer

Red Bull and Renault are officially getting divorced after a twelve-year marriage, and the drivers at Renault think that they'll be better off without having the Bulls as a customer in the future. As he's still under contract at Red Bull, Carlos Sainz Jr somewhat dodged the question about whether Red Bull is better off with Honda as engine partners. "They know where they stand," Sainz told Motorsport. "Their results in the past years gives us [Renault] the opportunity to see where we come short compared to the top teams. "That information is no longer needed." His teammate Nico Hulkenberg chimed in to confirm that Renault no longer needs Red Bull....
