Scott Dixon confirms talks with McLaren for 2019

Indy 500 winner Scott Dixon is on McLaren's shortlist for 2019 as the team contemplates a full-time involvement in IndyCar next season. The Kiwi, who once enjoyed an F1 test with Williams back in 2004, confirmed that talks had been initiated with McLaren, but insisted his main focus was on winning his fifth series championship this year in America with his current team, Chip Ganassi Racing. "We constantly talk to other people, but it’s not in a situation where we are shopping around or looking to move," Dixon told Autoweek.
