Buemi takes back-to-back New York poles – Qualifying Report
New York City E-Prix – Renault e.dams driver Sebastien Buemi took a second pole position of the New York double header Formula E finale. Buemi did a lap time of 1:17.973 to go 0.040 seconds faster than the Techeetah of Andre Lotterer. The German pipped his team-mate newly crowned Formula E champion Jean-Eric Vergne by 0.018 seconds after Vergne lost time in the final sector. Daniel Abt is the lead Audi in fourth ahead of team-mate Lucas di Grassi who crashed at Turn 2 on his super pole lap. The gap between Techeetah and Audi in the team’s standings remains at five points in the former’s favour ahead of the final race. Mitch Evans missed out on super pole by 0.009 seconds after...
