Toto Wolff: Mercedes would have made same call if Valtteri Bottas was ahead

Mercedes Boss Toto Wolff has clarified the decision to call off the fight between Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas by stating the team would have still made the same call regardless of who was in front at the time the command was given. The Finn was behind the four-time world champion due to making a second pit stop for fresh rubber under the safety car having stopped much earlier in the race. Bottas was keen to make that advantage count as he challenged Hamilton for the victory as the green flags came out again.
