Lewis Hamilton added to his own impressive record book by winning a Formula 1 race from 14th on the grid when he scored a surprise win in the German Grand Prix, in what he claims is his best performance in the top flight. The Briton had never before won from so far back on the grid, claiming victory number 44 in car #44 at Hockenheim after a storming drive through the field.
