Christian Horner feels Pierre Gasly is deserving of the promotion from Red Bull Toro Rosso Honda to Aston Martin Red Bull Racing in 2019 after the Frenchman was announced as Max Verstappen’s team-mate in place of the departing Daniel Ricciardo. Gasly made his Formula 1 debut in the Malaysian Grand Prix with Toro Rosso at the back end of 2017 and has scored twenty-six of the teams twenty-eight points this season, with a fourth place in Bahrain and sixth place in Hungary the highlights.
