Kubica close to giving up F1 dream

Robert Kubica has suggested he will give up on his dream of returning to Formula 1 if he cannot secure a spot on the grid in 2019. Kubica has served as Williams' test and reserve driver this year and has been linked with a race seat at the British team when Lance Stroll leaves for Force India. Kubica has not raced in F1 since suffering life-altering injuries in a rally crash in 2011, but an incredible return to the top step of motorsport has come close in 2018. Stroll could still leave Williams before the season is through, which would leave Kubica in pole position to take over and potentially prove his worth for 2019.
