Renault fear Honda progress means they're being outspent

Honda have revealed their power unit is developing at a quicker rate than ever before and Renault have admitted that they are being outspent by their rivals. Toro Rosso team principal, Franz Tost thinks that Honda's new Spec Three power unit moved them ahead of Renault in terms of engine power. This was used for the first time in Suzuka and Tost thinks it moved the Japanese manufacturer ahead of Renault in the development race. Honda Motorsport's general manager Mashashi Yamamoto believes his side are making rapid progress in their fourth year of their Formula One return.
