Force India intends to lodge name change application for 2019

Force India intends to lodge an application to change its name for the 2019 Formula 1 season, according to team boss Otmar Szafnauer. The Silverstone-based operation has been known as Force India since 2008, shortly after Vijay Mallya acquired it, having previously run under the Jordan, Midland and Spyker moniker. Force India previously evaluated changing its identity but stuck with the same name for 2018.
