Mercedes reserve role a possbility for Vandoorne

Stoffel Vandoorne could be set for a reserve role with Mercedes. The Belgian will leave F1 for Formula E at the end of the season switching to the Mercedes-backed HWA team which could open up a path back into Formula One for him. According to Motorsport.com, the link between HWA AG and Mercedes AMG F1 could land Vandoorne back in the F1 picture by signing him up to be reserve driver for the Silver Arrows. "Yes, that is possible. For the time being nothing has been decided yet. There are no plans yet," Vandoorne is quoted by Formule1.
