Mercedes 'understands' Mexico problems, aim to bounce back in Brazil - Toto Wolff

Mercedes say they have made progress in understanding why they lacked performance in Mexico where 2018 champion Lewis Hamilton and team-mate Valtteri Bottas struggled to keep up with both Red Bull and Ferrari. Hamilton went on to finish fourth – enough to clinch the title – and almost a lap down on race winner Max Verstappen, but was forced to make two stops in a race many expected would see just the one, whilst Bottas, fifth and lapped, made three stops as the pair struggled with degradation. Wolff described the weekend as 'bittersweet' given the high of clinching another drivers' title, but in contrast the low of dropping points to Ferrari with whom they are locked...
