Carey confirms F1 still planning second US GP

Liberty Media boss Chase Carey has reiterated their desire to have a second Grand Prix in the United States in the near future, despite Vietnam already being added to the calendar and plans for a Miami GP, as soon as next year, having been foiled. It had been Liberty's desire to have the Miami Grand Prix positioned in October 2019 as the owners look to continue their expansion plans, but their bid was thwarted by the local authorities who questioned the various logistical headaches that would accompany a street race at that time of year.  In the end they were forced to admit defeat in the short term, and Liberty focused their energies instead on confirming Vietnam from 2020, while the...
