Kimi Raikkonen returns to Sauber cockpit after 17 years

Kimi Raikkonen has returned to Sauber for the first time in 17 years during Formula 1’s post-season test at the Yas Marina Circuit. Raikkonen has signed a two-year deal to replace Marcus Ericsson and partner full-time rookie Antonio Giovinazzi at the squad, with which he carried out his maiden year in Formula 1 in 2001. Sauber was one of the most improved teams through the course of the campaign, regularly emerging as the fastest midfielder towards the end of 2018, ultimately placing eighth.
