FIA president Jean Todt believes Halo “demonstrated it was a good decision” to introduce cockpit protection for the 2018 Formula 1 season. Halo’s mandatory introduction in F1 and Formula 2 for this year sparked controversy, though the driver cockpit protection device was tested on a number of occasions during major incidents throughout the season.
