Barrichello backs Leclerc to shine at Ferrari

Former Ferrari driver Rubens Barrichello has told Charles Leclerc he must be mentally strong to succeed at the Scuderia. Barrichello claimed eleven race wins in Formula One but played second-fiddle to Michael Schumacher throughout his stint with the team between 2000 and 2005. Leclerc is now hoping the same will not happen to him, after graduating to Ferrari for 2019 with only one season in Formula One under his belt, driving for Sauber. The 21-year-old, who stepped up to F1 with back-to-back titles in GP3 and Formula 2, will look to put pressure on four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel, but Barrichello warns he must possess the correct mentality to pull it off.
