Pirelli: A two-stop rule wouldn't work

Pirelli have ruled out suggestions of mandatory two stops during a grand prix, saying it is not the 'right solution' for the sport. Formula 1's powers-that-be continue to debate various ways to spice up the racing after too many dull races in recent times. One suggestion has been mandatory two stops. However, Pirelli's F1 boss Mario Isola does not believe this is the solution to the sport's problems. 'There was a lot of talk about imposing two stops by regulation,' Isola told Reuters. 'I'm not sure that is the right solution because you have the risk of all the cars stopping on the same lap.'
