Schumacher progress excited Liberty Media

Formula 1 CEO Chase Carey says Mick Schumacher's elevation to Formula 2 in 2019 leaves the sport's organisers "incredibly excited" as the return of his famous name to the grid moves closer. Schumacher won European Formula 3 in 2018, raising through hopes of him emulating his father, seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher. Schumacher Jnr will not only move up to F2 with Prema Powerteam this year, but is also set to make his debut in an official F1 event, having signed to Ferrari's Driver Academy.
