Ferrari advantage in F1 testing proven by Pirelli comparison

Judging the pace of the Formula 1 field from pre-season testing is never easy. Different fuel loads, set-ups and particularly tyres have huge impacts on the running of each driver. With Pirelli having given us a clue as to how each compound of tyre changes a lap time, can we glean any more information? Nico Hulkenberg ended the first test at the top of the timesheets for Renault, but most in the paddock suggested that it was Ferrari who were quickest, despite the red cars sitting in the middle of the timesheets.
