Team bosses explain why their drivers are free to do extreme sports
Renault team boss Cyril Abiteboul and Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto have both explained why there is no clause in their drivers' contracts against doing extreme sports, as the pair believe the drivers are mature enough to know where to draw the line. This is certainly not the case for all drivers. It is common in F1 that a team won't allow a driver to do a certain type of activity as there would be a chance of the driver hurting himself, which isn't exactly beneficial to the team.
