Australian Grand Prix – Robert Kubica tagged the concrete wall on his final qualifying lap, finishing twentieth overall in a disappointing start for the Grand Prix winner. With Williams struggling for pace in the opening stages of the season, their qualifying hour turned into a competition to see which of their drivers could avoid finishing at the foot of the timing screens.
