Magnussen critical of Melbourne qualifying

Kevin Magnussen believes he should’ve matched his teammate, Romain Grosjean’s pace after the Haas pair qualified sixth and seventh with Magnussen described his qualifying lap as a “s**t lap”. Haas continued where they left off in 2018 as both of their drivers made it through to Q3 but Grosjean was by far the happier man as he qualified with a time of 1:21.826 to beat Magnussen who recorded a 1:22.099. After a mistake in Q1, the Dane was forced to use a second set of tyres just to make it through the session and he was very critical of this.
