Mercedes is not opposed to the introduction of a budget cap in formula one. Earlier, based on an interview in Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung that was reproduced only in part by DPA news agency, we claimed that Toto Wolff is in fact opposed to the budget cap plan. But Mercedes says a crucial part of the interview was left out. 'It (the budget cap) is still a work in progress but there will be a budget cap. We want it,' team boss Wolff said.
