Late Russell lap puts Mercedes top – Bahrain Test Day Two

Bahrain In-season Test – Mercedes development driver George Russell delivered the fastest time of the day in his first run-out of the W10. With rain affecting the first day of the test, teams were treated to a full day of drying running, with George Russell setting the fastest time in the final half-hour of the day. Russell – who is driving for Mercedes-powered Williams in 2019 – completed just over 100 laps and set the pace with a 1:29.029s, beating Racing Point's Sergio Perez by less than one tenth of a second.
