Albon takes new power unit, gearbox after practice crash

Alexander Albon has taken a new gearbox and a complete set of fresh power unit components ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix following his FP3 crash on Saturday. Toro Rosso driver Albon crashed hard at the final corner in the closing stages of final practice at the Shanghai International Circuit, leaving his STR14 car with significant damage. Albon was forced to miss qualifying as a result of the damage, with the team changing the chassis ahead of today's race. In the FIA's pre-race technical bulletin, it was confirmed that Albon had taken a fresh set of new power unit components - engine, MGU-K, MGU-H, turbocharger, energy store and control electronics - ahead of the race.
