Valtteri Bottas inches towards Barcelona track record at F1 test

Valtteri Bottas came close to improving on his own recently-set track record during the afternoon test session at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Tuesday. Bottas, who ended the morning session in the 1:16s, used Pirelli’s C5 tyres to clock a time of 1:15.511, just over a tenth down on his pole time (using C3s) set last Saturday. Bottas finished 1.422s up on Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who used C2s, with Toro Rosso’s Daniil Kvyat third and Renault’s Nico Hulkenberg fourth.
