Magnussen set for pit lane start in Canada

Kevin Magnussen is set to start Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix from the pit lane after Haas confirmed it needs to change the chassis on his car following his qualifying crash. Magnussen crashed out in the closing stages of Q2 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve after clipping the Wall of Champions when exiting the final chicane, causing his car to spear across the track and slam into the pit wall at high-speed. While Magnussen was quickly checked and cleared at the medical centre, his car was left with a significant amount of damage, prompting fears of a chassis change that would require the Dane to start from the pit lane on Sunday.
