Honda 'hope for a strong performance' during race after disastrous qualifying

Honda have had better qualifying sessions with only Pierre Gasly making it through to Q3 during yesterdays session. The other three Honda supplied drivers were caught up with an incident involving Kevin Magnussen which meant that they had to slow down on their flying laps. Honda boss Toyoharu Tanabe hopes that the Honda supplied cars will come through the pack and finish strong.  "Today, only one of our four cars got through to Q3," Tanabe said after the race. "Pierre Gasly was our sole runner in the final session and he did a very good job to secure fifth place on the grid.
