Canadian Grand Prix – Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel has crossed the line as leader of the race in Montreal, but a five second time penalty has given victory to Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton. Sebastian Vettel has crossed the line first in Montreal but lost the victory to Lewis Hamilton after a five second time penalty was applied to his race time. Having finished in front by less than a second, he was consigned to P2 in what was a very contentious decision by race stewards. Having led almost the entire race, Vettel's penalty was due to a mid race error where he lost control of the rear of his Ferrari through Turn 4.
