Lance Stroll thrilled to score points at home race after engine setback

Canadian Grand Prix – Racing Point's Lance Stroll finished P9 at his home race in Montreal, having employed a very useful one stop strategy. At the end of Saturday's track time, it appeared it was going to be another race to forget for Lance Stroll. A power unit failure at the start of FP3 meant his preparation for qualifying was ruined and, to add to this, the team were forced to fit his car with one of the old spec Mercedes power units for the remainder of the weekend – every other Mercedes powered car was fitted with the new one.
