Ferrari set to withdraw appeal as Binotto seeks clarification

The BBC are reporting that Ferrari are set to officially withdraw their appeal for the decision to hand Sebastian Vettel a five-second penalty at the Canadian Grand Prix. Vettel was handed a five-second penalty at the Canadian Grand Prix after he was alleged to have returned to the track in an unsafe manner on lap 48, after running onto the grass at turn four. The decision was costly for the German who was unable to build a big enough gap to Lewis Hamilton to hold on to first place. BBC Sport are reporting that Ferrari have told the FIA that they are planning to withdraw their appeal after initially planning to contest it.
