Seidl: McLaren F1's 2019 success partly down to Alonso and Vandoorne

McLaren F1 Team boss Andreas Seidl believes that the team's 2018 Formula 1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne made valuable contributions to an improved 2019 package. Both Alonso and Vandoorne left the team at the end of the last campaign, for Carlos Sainz Jr. and rookie Lando Norris respectively. McLaren finished '18 in sixth place in the Constructors' Championship, failing to support a strong start to the season by falling to the back of the midfield in the second half of the year.
