Alfa Romeo have announced Jan Monchaux will replace Simone Resta as the team's technical director at the beginning of August. Monchaux is currently Alfa's head of aerodynamics, but it has been confirmed the Frenchman will step up to become technical director. "I am very excited about this new challenge and I am looking forward to starting in my new position," Monchaux said. "The owners, board and team principal are sending a simple but strong message to the whole company - they value continuity and believe in the existing team and the work we have been doing.
