Bottas: Tracks picked for ‘pure political reasons'
Valtteri Bottas believes that many of the circuits on the Formula 1 calendar are selected for 'pure political reasons and money'. The Dutch and Vietnam Grand Prix's will join Formula 1 for the first time in 2020 at a time when new tracks added to the calendar have attracted citicism. The French GP at Paul Ricard debuted in 2018, but the 2019 race was heavily criticised before two fantastic races followed in Austria and Britain – the Red Bull Ring and Silverstone respectively have a reputation for producing exciting action. Bottas' Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton recently spoke out against the issue, and the Finn has joined him in wanting more of a driver input on which tracks are...
