A Formula 1 street race in London would be best run as a one-off event instead of becoming a permanent fixture on the sport's calendar, according to Red Bull team boss Christian Horner. F1 is known to be actively pursuing a street race in London to add to its calendar in the future, with early talks ongoing to try and secure an event in the East London borough of Newham. The future of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone was safeguarded with the signing of a new five-year deal earlier this month, meaning a possible London race would be an additional UK event, not a replacement.
