Williams switches Robert Kubica to spare chassis amid damage

Robert Kubica will switch to Williams’ spare chassis for the remainder of the German Grand Prix weekend. It was confirmed on Saturday morning that Williams, along with Red Bull, had broken the overnight curfew restrictions, the first breach of the year for both teams. Kubica had spent Friday running with the update package but said his programme was “compromised” from the outset, with suggestions that a piece of bodywork had become detached.
