Mercedes have gone against the grain in terms of tyre choice for the Belgian Grand Prix as they opted for two extra sets of medium compound tyres, with the majority of the field opting for nine or ten soft compound tyre sets. The Silver Arrows are two of just three drivers to choose four sets of medium tyres as Lando Norris of McLaren will run the same tyre setup over the Belgian Grand Prix weekend. Mercedes will have eight sets of soft compound tyres which have been the most popular with the majority choosing to run ten sets of the soft compound.
