Red Bull debutant Alex Albon is under investigation for a final lap pass on Sergio Perez for fifth place at the Belgian Grand Prix. Starting 17th, Albon quickly rose through the field and seemed to be comfortable during his first race for his new team after switching places with Pierre Gasly over the summer break. Albon pitted late compared to some of his rivals, but moved back through the field with some daring overtaking moves, especially on Daniel Ricciardo in the middle sector. On the final lap, Albon went for a move on Sergio Perez for fifth place, going onto the grass to complete the move and he is under investigation for that move.
