F1's 'big three' will still have advantage through early 2020s - McLaren

McLaren’s boss Andreas Seidl has warned that Formula 1’s top three teams will still hold an advantage during the early years of the next regulatory cycle. Formula 1 chiefs are finalising an overhaul of the sporting and technical regulations, including the introduction of a phased-in budget cap, in a bid to create a fairer playing field. Only Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull have won races in Formula 1’s hybrid era while Toro Rosso’s podium in Germany is the sole top three finish by a midfield team in 2019.
