Plans to reintroduce in-race refuelling to Formula 1 have been scrapped

The potential reintroduction of refuelling in-race in Formula 1 has been dropped after a meeting between members of the Strategy Group. Last seen in 2009, the idea of refuelling in-race again wasn't the most popular idea proposed for the 2021 regulation changes. FIA president Jean Todt believes it would be a good way to minimise the weight of the cars. However, now it seems that refuelling the cars during the race is not on the table and any ideas of reducing the weight of the cars would cost too much money considering the introduction of the budget-cap that's all set to be introduced.
