Mercedes has adopted a different tyre strategy compared to its rivals for next week's Russian Grand Prix as Pirelli has revealed the compound selections for each driver. The Italian manufacturer has nominated the C2, C3 and C4 compounds for the grand prix at the Sochi circuit, the three compounds from the middle of its range. As usual, Pirelli mandates one of each compound for every driver, after which they are permitted free choice for the remaining 10 sets from their allocation of 13.
